Kinetic Art

This Costume was inspired by Movement in Art. I started by creating samples using paper and plastic, experimenting with the boundaries of movement that could be achieved. I looked into an 'atom'-like shape for inspiration.
This dress is constructed using a boned corset and a wire crinoline-like structure underneath. I then created lots of channels of white fabric that had relevant words embroidered on them, to create the loops. I then channeled in lines of wire for the loops to hold their shape.
