This costume was created for the brief entitled "Nature in Art" and was highly inspired by my trip to Jamaica. This costume is heavily embellished in textile and embroidery techniques as I wanted it to appear as if it was the floor of a coral reef. I even incorporated pieces of actual dried coral found washed up on the beach after Hurricane Dean hit Jamaica.
